Aren't fossils amazing?!
Ammonites were shelled cephalopods that died out about 66 million years ago. Fossils of them are found all around the world. The suture lines of ammonites are useful for identifying different species and genera, as well as for dating the rocks in which they are found.
This fossil, with its unique suture lines, is set in sterling silver, framed with twist wire, and accented with bead wire. It hangs from by handmade bail from an 18" sterling silver rolo chain.
Stone size approximately 1" x 3/4".
Hung from an 18" sterling silver rolo chain.
(Message me if you'd like a different length.)
